If you are a registered patient we will do our best to see you on the day you request, particularly if you feel it is an urgent problem.
If you are a registered patient, we will try and accommodate your request. It is possible to arrange early morning appointments (8am) by prior arrangement. Alternatively, you may wish to use the home visiting service.
In case of an emergency, we recommend that NHS emergency services are contacted on 999 or 111 for more general but urgent concerns.
We collaborate with GPDQ, a company who co-ordinate and support private GP home visits for patients. All GPs are experienced and work closely with The Northwood Surgery providing reports after each home visit to ensure continuity of care.
Patients can call or be redirected to 0203 805 1781. You will need to let the operator know you are a patient of The Northwood Surgery in order to be assigned where possible, to GPs who have links with The Northwood Surgery.
All doctors speak English, in addition, Dr Karia speaks Guajarati and Dr Hussain speaks Urdu
We charge a registration fee of £30 for new patients and £120 for your first consultation.
Standard (15 minutes) week-day consultation (adults and children) are charged at £70
Long Consultation (30 minutes) weekday are £120
Telephone Advice to registered patients only costs £50
Non-Surgical Beauty initial consultation: £35 (deducted from the total cost of treatment for injectibles and SkinPen Precision).
Blood/urine tests are priced separately and the doctor will advise you depending on the test required.
Home visits are charged at £120 on a weekday, £150 on a weekend and £200 on a bank holiday

Just call the surgery, or email us. Of course we would like as much notice as possible, but understand that sometimes you may be dealing with circumstances beyond your control. Long appointments (30 minutes or more), if cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged a cancellation fee of £25.
You will be asked to complete a medical history questionnaire, review our Terms and Conditions and confirm you have read our General Data Protection policy prior to seeing the doctor.
On your first visit, the doctor will take a history and conduct a relevant examination, including baseline observations of blood pressure, height and weight. A chaperone may be requested if required. The doctor will then plan with you the best course of action for your particular problem.
Blood tests, investigations and onward referrals may be organised (billed separately). With consent, a report of the consultation and any relevant findings can be provided to your NHS GP to ensure continuity of care.

If we are unable to help with your condition, we will advise on the best course of action or refer you to Specialist Services which may be able to help. We work in partnership with our patients to try and achieve the best outcome possible.
Patients wishing to see the doctor are required to register their contact details with the practice. 2 forms of identification will be required: 1 photo ID and 1 proof of address. All new patients are provided with a medical history questionnaire and undergo an initial 30 minute consultation with the GP to enable a full clinical history and relevant assessment to be undertaken.
Your health records may be accessed by providing a written request to the practice as per our GDPR policy.
Test results, including blood test results, are emailed directly to you once they have been checked by the GP.
All patient data is kept confidential as per our GDPR policy. All patients must confirm they have read and understood this policy as part of the registration process. All staff are trained in maintaining patient confidentiality. Patient records are securely stored electronically on a hosted server and access is strictly limited and password protected according to healthcare record guidelines.
